Scouts, Earn Your Merit Badge & Climb Today!

For over 15 years the Philadelphia Rock Gyms and our expert guides have trained local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts to safely enter the sport of Rock Climbing. Certified by the Boy Scouts of America, the PRG was also instrumental in creating the Climbing Merit Badge program for Girl Scouts. Whether you are a scout, Scoutmaster or parent, the PRG has Merit Badge programs, Group Packages and Outdoor Climbing programs to satisfy your need to Climb!

Outdoor Merit Badge

Full Day

The Philadelphia Rock Gym is proud to be the first guide service in the area to be approved by both the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts of America to award the Rock Climbing Merit Badge. The course consists of a 5-6 hour course of outdoor activity, covering all of the merit badge requirements-including rappelling, belaying, knot tying, technical climbing and more. Scheduled at your convenience--all at a local climbing area in the great outdoors! Classes held at Ralph Stover State Park and Chickies Rock.

Price: $350 for up to 5 participants | $45 for each additional

Indoor Merit Badge	5 hours	Troop Climb	2 hours
An all-weather version of our popular Merit Badge Program, available at our newest PRG in Valley Township. With our Indoor Rappel Tower and 32 foot Climbing Walls, Scouts cover all of the requirements to earn their Badge, plus get the chance to climb our walls. A great option for cold or wet weather, or for Troops who have a limited travel time or budget. Scheduled at your convenience. Price: $300 for up to 5 participants. $45 for each additional		A Scouting variation on our popular Staffed Package, available at any Philadelphia Rock Gym. The Troop Climb gets scouts climbing on our walls with no fuss. This package includes 2 hours of climbing, equipment rental and PRG staff to run the safety systems for your Troop.
