Kinder Climb | For kids ages 4-5 

Kinder Climb is designed to give children ages 4-5 the opportunity to become more confident on the climbing wall while strengthening communication skills, learning to problem solve and work together. For one hour each week, little climbers will also learn very basic but essential climbing specific skills such as knot tying, footwork, body positioning & movement, as well as goal setting!

Climbers attend class at the same day/time each week.
No prior experience is necessary.

Get your kids climbing!  Kids Climb, our entry level class, meets once a week for 8-week sessions at a time.  Kids learn the basics to climbing and climbing safety and have fun under the expertise and guidance of a PRG coach!  Program includes 1.5 hours per week of climbing instruction.

Advanced Kids Climb | For kids 7 & up*

Advanced Kids Climb (AKC) is designed for climbers
who are ready for the next step and want to move
forward in climbing. Also a 1.5 hour class, AKC offers a
faster paced environment where climbers continue
to master the basics in climbing technique and
climbing safety skills.

*This class has pre-requisites and some experience

find out if AKC is right for your child.

Club Team | For kids 8 & up*

For climbers who have mastered the basics, our Club Team offers more rigorous technique instruction on energy efficiency and strategy in climbing.   Climbers will also learn more advanced safety skills in this class.  Club Team climbers are eligible to compete as part of the larger Team PRG at local competitions
throughout the area.

*This class has pre-requisites and adequate

After School Programs FAQs

How do I reserve a spot?
To sign up for any PRG After School Youth Program, please call our staff at 877.822.7673. No online registration is available for After School Youth Programs at this time.

I’m not sure my child will enjoy rock climbing class, do you offer trial classes?
If it is your child’s first time climbing in a PRG after school program, you can request a free trial class by emailing kids@philarockgym.com!

Is there any experience necessary?
No! We have after school programs for kids of all experience levels–from first time climbers to veteran competitors. Give us a call or send an e-mail to find out which program is best for your child.

When does the next 8-week session start?

Do we need to bring our own climbing equipment?
No. Equipment rentals are included in the cost of the sessions.

What kind of clothes should I wear?
We recommend non-restrictive, athletic clothing.

Do you have to be a PRG Member to participate ?
No. The cost of the session includes climbing time and equipment rental, as well as expert instruction. However, PRG Members enjoy discounts on all youth programs and camps at PRG!

Are there any other requirements for climbing at PRG?
All participants must have a completed waiver form, signed by a parent or guardian if the participant is under 18. All participants are guests of the PRG and are required to obey all PRG rules.

What’s the difference between Season Pass and Annual Pass?  What are their perks?
The Season Pass (10 months) and Annual Pass (12 months) guarantee a spot in class for your child each session plus unlimited make up classes to suit your hectic schedule.  Annual Pass holders enjoy many more perks such as free seasonal camp days, access to summer sessions as well as discounts on summer camps and a birthday party package!  For more info on Season and Annual Passes, click here.

Cancellation Policy
Due to the limited number of available spots, Youth Program dues are non-refundable. In case of cancellation, a credit for the full amount will be offered which does not expire and can be used toward other products or services at PRG (excluding private lesson and contract dues). To request a credit, please email kids@philarockgym.com.

If you wish to switch to a different class day or time, every effort will be made to accommodate at no additional cost. Please note: since each class has a limited number of available spots, we cannot guarantee availability for a different day or time. To switch class days or times, please call our staff at 877.822.7673.

Season Pass or Annual Pass Cancellation Policy:

If the buyer wishes to cancel this Contract before the initial term has been completed for reasons outside of injury or moving 20 miles away, he/she will be responsible for a penalty fee. For Seasonal or Annual Pass holders, if more than 5 or 6 months respectively remain on the contract term, the buyer is responsible for all outstanding dues not to exceed $100. If less than 5 or 6 months respectively remain on the contract term, the buyer is responsible for all outstanding dues not to exceed $50.
