Our New River Rock Trip is a great introduction to
outdoor rock climbing for young climbers. Located in Fayetteville, WV,

East Coast! With over 3000 routes to choose from--great top-roping,
lead climbing and bouldering--the New has the greatest variety of
routes, for all skill levels, of any climbing area in the country. Skills covered will include: basic
rappelling, bouldering and bouldering safety, knot tying and basic
rope skills, leave no trace hiking and camping ethics, and general
outdoor climbing safety. Climbers will also, of course, have a
chance to test their climbing skills on real rock, learning improved
technique and a repertoire of moves that will improve their overall
ability and confidence as climbers. Climbers will stay at the Rocky
Top Retreat, just a few minutes walking distance from the rocks
themselves.
Pre-requisites: PRG belay certification or equivalent
experience.

Adirondak
State Park (recommended
for kids aged 13 & up)
The Adirondaks are the Yosemite Valley of the East.
Some of the biggest and best granite walls are located in the
1,000,000+ acre Adirondak State Park near Lake Placid, NY.
Climbers
will spend 4 days climbing and hiking in the Keene Valley. More than
just a climbing trip, kids will learn about areas of climbing which
cannot be taught in a gym—anchor building, seconding a multi-pitch
route, safety and route-finding in a wilderness environment, as well
as outdoor bouldering and hiking in the backcountry.
Climbers
will stay in the Chapel Pond Campground, within walking distance of
Chapel Pond. Camping is primitive and pristine.
Pre-requisites: PRG belay certification or equivalent experience.

Rock
Town
(recommended
for kids aged 13 & up)
Want to
improve your bouldering skills? Go outside! Rock Town and the
surrounding areas of Little Rock City are located in and around the
town of Chattanooga, TN just 90 minutes north of Atlanta, GA. Both
bouldering areas are on the Triple Crown Circuit, nationally
renowned as featuring the best bouldering in the country. Kids on
these trips learn how to be safe in the outdoors, proper spotting
and pad placement, as well as how to improve their technique in the
same boulders which the best in the country use for training. This
trip is a must for anyone looking to improve.
