Burn Series Championship FAQ

Who can attend?butora
Anyone with an invite! Both Kids and Adults–Open and Amateur.

Spectators are welcome!

How does it work?

The Burn Bouldering Series consists of four bouldering competitions – Midnight Burn (pre-lim), Winter Burn (pre-lim), Heart Burn (pre-lim) and the Burn Championships (Finals) – three prelims and one final championship event. Each event will follow the same format as the Burn’s always have, and awards will be based for each event on performance in that event.

But, after the Burn Championship, the overall winners of the Series in each category will be determined by their Final Series Rating for the year…a number based on their performance in all Burn Series events. So, in addition to awards for placing in a particular event, climbers with the best Final Series Ranking in each category will receive additional awards–and prizes!–for being the Burn Series Champions!

To obtain a Final Series Ranking a competitor must compete in at least two prelims and the Finals. For more information check our the Burn Series page or download our Series Rules & Guidelines.
