Intro to Climbing
This entry-level package covers the basic safety skills needed to
get started climbing in the PRG--including operating the safety
ropes, knot tying, and basic climbing movement. Cost includes day
pass and equipment. Available to adults 16 and older.
· When:
Drop-in classes every hour on the half-hour.

Deluxe
Intro to Climbing Pack!
The best way to
Start Climbing! Our Deluxe Package covers all the skills in our
Introduction Package PLUS an extra hour of small group
instruction on climbing technique and movement PLUS
two (2) FREE return visits including equipment rental. Come
learn from our expert instructors the best way to start climbing! Available to adults 16 and older.

Family Intro Package
Based on
our popular Intro to Climbing package, this is the best way for
parents with kids to get started in rock climbing. Just like the
Intro Package, parents work with one of our skilled instructors to
learn all the necessary safety skills. During the lesson, our staff
will belay for your kids, so that you can concentrate on learning. Once the
lesson is done, you and your kids can enjoy the rest of your day at
the PRG! Available to adults with children under 13.

The Fight Gravity series is
designed to be a comprehensive course on everything you need to know
to climb your best. Climbing 201, the first Fight Gravity clinic
covers all the basics of movement, from the Essentials to Dynamic
Moves. Each clinic is broken into 3 nights covering different
topics, and may be taken as a full 3 week class, or as individual
evenings to learn or brush up on specific skills.

Essentials of Movement
Learn to climb harder with less
strength! A primer on climbing movement, this class is essential for
understanding the proper body positions to climb efficiently on the
wall.
Night 2:
Intro to Dynamic
Movement
Tired of not being able to
reach that next hold? Night 2 covers the basics of Dynamic
Movement--the most efficient and effective way to move up the wall.
Learn to dyno!
Night 3:
Use Your Legs!
Do your hands fail before your
heart? Combining the lessons from nights 1 & 2 the final class
in our series teaches you how to use your legs (not your hands!) to
make progress up the wall. We'll show you how to climb 5.10 before
you can even do a single pull-up!

Climbing 202 |

Intermediate/Advanced level Pre-requisites:
Climbing 201 or equiv.

Time to improve! Climbing 202,
the second Fight Gravity clinic builds on the skills covered in 201.
These classes expand on topics such as Dynamic Moves and Body
Position, and introduce more advanced skills such as Twist-locking,
long Dynos and basic training. Once again, each clinic is broken
into 3 nights which may be taken as a full 3 week class, or as
individual evenings.

Twist-locks
Learn to trick gravity! Well,
not really, but proper twist-locks are essential for saving energy
and gaining leverage on harder moves. Once mastered, twist-locks are
a critical skill for your bag of climbing tricks.
Night 2:
Intermediate Dynamic
Movement
Ready to go big? Expanding on
the 201 topic, the next step in Dynamic movement covers gaining
distance and saving energy!
Night 3:
Body Tension--the Key to
Steep Climbing
When the angle gets steeper,
technique trumps raw strength every time. This class covers the
essentials of climbing efficiently on steeper terrain. As this class
draws heavily from earlier classes Nights 1 & 2 are strongly
recommended pre-requisites.
Climbing 301 And Beyond:
Advanced Clinics
Throughout the year we will
also offer classes on Advanced topics including: Climbing Training,
Advanced Lead Classes, Learning to Project and others.
Pre-requisites and other information will be posted as it becomes
available.

Climbing 203 |

Introduction to Lead
Join PRG instructors as they introduce you to climbing on the
sharp end! Focusing on both lead climbing and lead belaying, this
2 session course covers all of the skills necessary to pass the
lead certification test at the PRG.
Climbers are responsible for providing their own safety equipment, including
rope, belay device and harness. Pre-requisites: PRG top-rope belay
certification, competent climbing at a 5.9 level or harder, ages of
16 or older.

Breakthrough Lead Clinic
Do you have trouble taking lead falls? Have trouble climbing at
your limit on lead, just like you would on top-rope? Then this
course is for you. Join the PRG's head coach and guide, Dave
Rowland, for a special 3 hour clinic on how to improve your lead
climbing. From taking falls, to shaking out, to efficient clipping,
sequencing and relaxation techniques, Dave covers the essential
mental and physical skills necessary for climbing your best on the
sharp end. Pre-requisites: PRG lead
certification, competent climbing at a 5.9 level or harder, ages of
16 or older.

Introduction to
Rappelling Join us at the Rappel Tower at our newest facility
for a course not to be missed. Learn the basics of descending from
high places under the expert care of certified instructor Chris
Feder. This course covers all the aspects of basic safety including:
harness use, belay safety techniques, multiple rappel devices, and
more. A must for any new climber looking to shore up their skills,
or for non-climbers looking for an exhilarating new experience.

Self Rescue Clinic
Do you know how to get yourself or
your partner out of a jam? Let us show you how! The Self Rescue
Clinic covers the basic skills all climbers need to get out of tough
situations. Escaping the belay, tandem rappels, assisted hoists,
emergency ascending, passing knots...our instructors will show you
how to handle the unexpected with minimal equipment and maximum
safety. A must for any climber serious about the safety of their
team.

Instruction Our private training program offers the greatest
flexibility for your climbing needs and schedule; great for adults

*All indoor
classes (other than Introduction to Climbing) must be reserved and
paid in full, one week in advance. If necessary, rental equipment
will be provided for the duration of each climbing session. The
cost of climbing time is only covered for the duration of the scheduled
class. Non-members who wish to climb before or after their scheduled
time must pay for a day pass. Most courses have space limitations
so sign up now! Ask at our front desk for more details.
