For more than 15 years the Philadelphia Rock Guides have been introducing people to the amazing sport of outdoor rock climbing at the most beautiful climbing areas in the region and elsewhere. Whether you are a Boy or Girl Scout Troop looking for a Merit Badge program, or you are just looking for a unique experience for your group, our expert guides have a program that is right for you.

Our Half Day trips focus on one of two exciting aspects of outdoor climbing: Rappelling and Top-Roped climbing. Whatever your choice, our expert guides handle all the set-up and training necessary for an amazing outdoor experience! Trips are 3 hours long and include training, set-up and all necessary safety equipment. Bring a lunch and let us do the rest! Group sizes are limited to 20 per group for Rappelling and 40 per group for Top-Roping. Call us to find out which program will work for you!

Cost?  $450 for up to 10 climbers
              $40 per climber for each additional climber
               

The Philadelphia Rock Gym is proud to be the first guide service in the area to be approved by the Boy Scouts of America to award scouts the Rock Climbing Merit Badge. The course consists of a 2-hour indoor prep session, and a half-day of outdoor activity, covering all of the merit badge requirements-including rappelling, belaying, knot tying, technical climbing and more. Scheduled at your convenience. Minimum of 3 participant per class. Please call us for more information.
