GUIDE SERVICE FAQs

Please note: All trips require a $150 deposit at the time of booking.

  • What Covid-19 Precautions Will Be In Place?

Please visit our Covid-19 Information Center for detailed protocol. We will be taking the same precautions outside as we do inside the gyms.

Guides and clients are required to wear masks at all times (parking lot, trail, and crag), unless there is a safety issue, and socially distance wherever possible. We also wipe down any hard gear provided by PRG before use.

  • What happens if it rains?

Rain is an (un)fortunate part of outdoor climbing! If it looks like inclement weather on the date of your scheduled trip, your guide will notify you a few days in advance. They will work with you to reschedule your trip, or provide an indoor alternative at any one of our several indoor locations at a lessor rate.

  • Do you require a deposit?

All guide services require a $150 deposit to guarantee your reservation. Reservations should be made at least two weeks in advance. The deposit is refundable up to two weeks before the booked date, and transferable up to one week prior to the booked date, after which time it can no longer be applied toward an alternate booking.

  • What is the maximum number of participants I can bring?

Maximums typically vary by service and location. Please email us for additional information.

  • What kind of clothes should I wear?

We recommend non-restrictive, athletic clothing and sneakers or hiking shoes. Weather can be somewhat unpredictable so come prepared! Bring layers and pack rain gear just in case.

  • What else should I bring with me?

Every participant will need a completed waiver to participate in guided trips, signed by a parent or legal guardian if under the age of 18.

We also suggest you bring plenty of snacks and water for your day trips.

For multi-day trips, please check your trip details for additional information, or email us with questions.

  • Are there any requirements for climbing with PRG Guides?

All participants must have a completed waiver form, by a parent or guardian if the participant is under 18. All participants are guests of the PRG and are required to obey all PRG rules.
